Actress Famke Janssen called police, fearing a break-in at her New York home after finding a children's book she has never owned, according to TMZ.
The "X-Men" star was reportedly left unnerved when she returned to her Manhattan home this weekend and discovered a copy of the 1957 children's book "The Lonely Doll" sitting in a bedroom. TMZ says she "instantly became weirded out."
Janssen called the police and filed a report. Cops are reportedly investigating the incident as a possible burglary and are examining surveillance footage. There were no signs of forced entry. The "Lonely Doll" is about a doll named Edith whose teddy bear pal promises never to leave her. (с)
